Why my video on TikTok shows the overlays

The video template with broadcast overlays and B-roll.

On Hub, GlueArrow paints the banner / lower-third / watermark on top of the playing video — they're rendered by the app, not part of the file. But TikTok / Reels / Shorts use their own players, so we can't paint there. When you cross-post a Reporter video, the cloud burns the overlays into a fresh MP4 (takes ~30 seconds) and that MP4 is what goes to external networks. The same broadcast styling shows up on every platform. The cross-post icons on the published Newsroom card stay visible per network — if a network timed out mid-burn or mid-publish, its icon shows dimmed (not removed) so you can see which ones to verify on the platform itself. Backend retries are deduped by (you, network, post_id) for 6 hours so a re-publish after a timeout will never double-post.
